Of course, the work was fairly naive from a scientific point of view, but I managed to read a lot of interesting books and articles on the topic. In one from authoritative sources (David Crystal "Language and the Internet") stated that the language of communication on the Internet do not need to regulate (it is simply impossible, given the scale of Internet), he (the language) will find the balance and its norm. I totally agree with this view. Linguistic and philological chaos of Internet communication is gradually taking shape for the shape of linguistic norms of Internet discourse. Theme long and I do not want to bore you. Let me just say one thing: to compensate for the absence emotions in online dialogues appeared the so-called "Emoticons." To explain not linguists. By itself, online dialogue (whether in correspondence by e-mail or chat) presented a brand new style of text (discourse), which was something between the written and spoken language. But it seems to me that they simplify it. They save us from the process of selection of linguistic means for expressing emotions. In general, I believe that the language has sufficient means to express any emotions interlocutor - whether it's a joke, irony, laughter, and so on. Yes, it is more difficult. But it is also elegant. It's beautiful. It is clearer if you want. Not necessarily "wink", "laugh" or "smile" emoticons! These means of communication (in linguistics - the non-verbal) are an integral part of speech. My verdict - Smileys must die. Of course, they can and should use some advertising or decorative purposes. But in correspondence or everyday communication, they personally I do not need them! I not completely reject their use, since (as a linguist) I accept any means of language (even a mat). But their use can simply limit, since often, use emoticons or ulybochek redundant and gives a written dialogue, comic or komiksovoy (my neologism).
